
Dr. Charice Williams, a Licensed Psychologist, is an Associate Consultant at Lorio Forensics. Dr. Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Clark Atlanta University, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, with a forensic emphasis, at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology through the Emory University School of Medicine/American Board of Forensic Psychology (ABFP). Dr. Williams brings over a decade of clinical experience across correctional, hospital, and community settings. She has provided psychological services within the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute, the DC Superior Court Child Guidance Clinic, and the Washington DC Veterans Medical Center.
Dr. Williams’ work has included competency to stand trial evaluations, risk assessments, competency restoration, mitigation evaluations, and treatment of individuals with complex trauma, severe mental illness, and neurocognitive disorders. In addition to her clinical and forensic practice, Dr. Williams has held leadership and administrative roles in victim services and juvenile justice, including serving as Director of the Victim Witness Assistance Program at the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and as a Social Services Coordinator for the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. She has also served as a psychiatric crisis clinician and as a licensed mental health counselor in correctional and hospital settings. Dr. Williams is a professional member of the American Psychology–Law Society and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia. She has presented at national conferences on issues related to competency restoration and forensic evaluation. She has been admitted and testified as an expert witness in federal court.
