Lorio Forensics

Our Virtual Approach to COVID-19

For many companies around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a shift to remote working, technology adoption, and telepsychiatry (or telepsych). Lorio Forensics, however, has leveraged technology to operate efficiently and collaborate effectively from the very beginning.

In addition to having clinician consultants in four states, our clinicians are licensed in and serve legal teams in even more. As a result, our staff and clinicians have experience working together remotely and asynchronously.  Our process from the initial attorney-consultant call through testimony and/or the final report is streamlined and undergoes a continuous improvement process to ensure that quality is maintained regardless of where services are provided.

Additionally, each of our clinician consultants has years of experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients through telepsych as clinical providers. This practical experience proves instructive in advising legal teams regarding the appropriateness of virtual evaluations for a given case. Furthermore, it informs our approach to conducting high-quality forensic mental health evaluations remotely.

If you have a case for which a forensic mental health evaluation might prove useful, Lorio Forensics and our consultants are well-equipped to serve in these unprecedented times.
