Dr. Johannil Napoleón is a Forensic Psychology Post Doc at Lorio Forensics. Dr. Napoleon received a Doctorate in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Adler University and a Master of Arts degree from Adler University, along with a Master of Arts in Arts Therapy from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Dr. Napoleón has over 10 years of training and experience in trauma-responsive care, pediatric psychology, adolescent and young adult mental health, and culturally responsive therapy. Dr. Napoleón, who is a bilingual native Spanish speaker, currently serves as a psychotherapist at Cartwheel Care.
Dr. Napoleón serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. In addition to her extensive professional experience in academic medical centers, community organizations, and in private practice, Dr. Napoleón has worked with diverse populations as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). She has published academic research on a number of topics, including trauma, colorism, art therapy, and childhood sexual abuse.
