Lorio Forensics Welcomes Dr. Christopher Hoffman

Lorio Forensics is proud to welcome its newest clinician consultant, Dr. Christopher Hoffman. Dr. Hoffman is a board certified Psychiatrist and U.S. Air Force Veteran who specializes in adult and forensic psychiatry. With his extensive academic and clinical background, he brings tremendous value to an already dynamic lineup of forensic mental health experts. 

Dr. Hoffman received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and his medical degree at the University of South Alabama. He then completed his general psychiatry residency training at Morehouse School of Medicine where he was named a Chief Resident. After a break in training during his Air Force service, Dr. Hoffman completed his Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Hoffman’s clinical expertise is accompanied by a notable history of service and leadership. He has held posts of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program Manager as well as Medical Director at the Edwards Air Force Base Clinic in California. In May of 2021, he was awarded with an Air Force Commendation Medal. Dr. Hoffman has been active in professional medical organizations in his community, and provided Crisis Intervention Training for law enforcement officers.
